MrMoe,

i would like to know why you still beleive in god and what, based upon the bible, leads you to believe in god.. i likethe scripture that states the earth was a circle and hung upon nothing.
i also find that there is evidence the flood existed.
anybody know the stats of the "supposed" ark on mr. ararat?.
Faraon,
I guess we have different sources for our information about who wrote the flood account, and when written, that has lead us to different conclusions.
Just one question, what about the story of a flood (or at least a similar story) found in almost all cultures. Do you think this might point to the posibility that there really was a flood that almost wiped out all humanity except 8.
a general text from my story.
i make some changes each time i give my testimony.
many of you unbelievers will think some of my statements are foolish.
Naeblis,
So what your thing?
Were you a God beleiving Witness at one time?
Just asking so I can understand where your comming from.

Are you still a active Witness?
well, well, well, folks!
it was the first i attended and i must say, it was all very exciting.
i found out that ozziepost is not his real name at all - it's really oswald q. postenhoffenmuller!
I would like to go to Australia but there are so many poisonous snakes don't you have to be careful out doors?
i've been interested in the discussion on the 'for those of us who believe in god' thread and aguest wrote this:.
"we have been misled into understand what 'faith' really is.".
if we have all been misled, then can someone explain what exactly faith really is?
Shelby,
With all do respect I think some of your last staments are a little out there.
. Today, THEY hear, see... and obey much more than we do. WE... call it 'instinct'. But in fact, they HEAR the voice of my Father and my Lord... and 'obey'. It is NOT 'instinct' that says 'geese fly south for the winter.' It is my Father's voice, through my Lord that says, "It's time to go, beloved ones." Those that 'hear'... and obey... go. Those that don't, usually lose their lives. Yes, even animals... in fact, even PLANTS... can be obedient... or disobedient. ALL life has the potential to obey... or disobey... for ALL life... possesses spirit.
Just what did the Father say to you about the animals as quoted above could you give us a word for word quote without paraphasing?
i am erica garza rodriguez.
i wanted to write and thank all of you for your interest and support during this long pursuit of justice.. to those wonderful friends who were able to travel to ritzville for the trial, my heart overflows with humble gratitude.. bill bowen (and wife sheila, behind the scene).
b (you know who you are), pat, chris, richard and wife, gsark, baharama and sister, maximus, were you there?
Erica,
I want to express the admiration I feel for you.
I think your very brave to do what you have done, to go the whole nine yards.
I'm sure it would have been a lot easier to just have gone your way and not have called your molester to account for what he did. You've done the so right thing.
And your going to trial I'm sure will have saved some other child or perhaps many children from being victimized by this man.
You have a lot of people on your side.
And I wish you the very best on your future.

Faraon,
[quote]
Note that the bible comments that all the mountains high under the entire heaven were covered with 20 feet of water. It could not have been a local event if all, not only a few, mountains on Earth were covered.
[quote]
If it was an eye witnesses account by Noah, or Shem, and they had no idea the size or shape of the earth could it not just appear to have covered every mountain in their view in the land of Mesopotamia?
Can we at least conclude that an eye witness account would allow for those statement you just quoted but not in fact be refurring to a complete global deluge?
And what about the readers of this account that read it say 4,000 years ago would they have understood it to mean the whole globe when they didn't even know the Earth was round like a ball.
I think we have to remember what people back then actually knew and what they didn't know to come to a correct or at least better understanding of what Noah, or Shem meant.

Quester,
I think the flood account is an eye witness account and tells the story from that point of veiw.
It must have been gigantic, and wiped out all of Adam's offspring except Noah and his family, but not global, did Noah or Shem even have any idea the earth was a spere, I don't think so.
I think to understand the Bible we have to try to go back to what the Bible writers new and meant at the time of their writting, not to what we in the 21 century take it, but what they new and meant at the time.
I think we make a big mistake when we read it and don't keep this in mind.
The same goes for Job's and Isaiah's statements about the earth.
